Martin’s vision was to develop a practice which focused on delivering a superior service to his clients. The practice has flourished and now provides Accounting, Taxation and Business Advisory Services to a range of businesses, corporates and individuals.

Martin Beales

Managing Director, Founder

Martin has 20 years’ of experience in practice and is passionate about providing an innovative, client-centric and high-quality service.

He prides himself on knowing his clients and their needs and being available to assist personally.

Complimenting the accounts, tax and bookkeeping function, Martin supports many of his clients in an advisory role. This can include anything from tax planning, tax disputes, and bespoke projects helping clients to improve business operations and financial performance, through to strategic business advice, business expansion and restructuring.

Martin’s advisory work is strengthened further by his strong network of trusted professionals who are available to assist if required including brokers, financiers, wealth planners, auditors, lawyers and insolvency professionals.

David Rogers

Senior Manager, Accounts and Tax

David brings 25 years’ experience to his clients following valuable roles in both practice and time spent in industry.


  • 2 years’ at a top 10 firm
  • Audits of several £20m turnover companies in the aviation and electronics industry
  • Roster of high-profile tax clients including sports personalities and musicians
  • Significant experience in the construction industry following a finance advisory role in a large construction outfit
  • Other sectors include Agriculture, Retail, Property Development, Environmental Services
  • Currently advises individuals, partnerships and limited companies

Kerry Beales

Marketing and Business Development

Kerry is a Fellow Chartered Certified Accountant with 20 years’ experience. She specialises in Insolvency, Asset Recovery, Forensics and cross-border insolvency.

Through her time in the industry, Kerry has built a significant network and is currently working on a consultancy basis assisting Martin to grow his practice and build valuable business relationships, before starting a new role in December as Director of Contentious Insolvency at Azets London city.


  • Experience in Forensics, Expert Witness, Insolvency and Asset recovery
  • FCCA, CPI, Certificate of Proficiency in Insolvency, AAT qualified
  • Worked in a top 6 firm with experience at smaller boutique firms

Chloe Pirch

Accounts and Tax Semi-Senior

Chloe has 2 years’ of experience in accounts and tax, starting her accountancy journey with PBATS in 2021.


  • Exposure to a range of sectors and clients
  • Systems champion, Chloe is also the firms CRM co-ordinator
  • AAT level 2

Shajin Varghese


Shah has 8 years’ of experience working in various payroll roles.

Bookkeeping Manager

Kristen has 8 years’ of experience in bookkeeping, accounts and tax and currently manages the bookkeeping function at PBATS.


  • 5 years’ at a top 10 firm in the Accounts and Financial Reporting team
  • 2 years’ as Manager in a compliance role at a boutique city firm
  • Broad breadth of industry experience, significant exposure in Agriculture, Retail and Leisure sectors
  • Exposure to a number of bookkeeping, tax and accounts software packages
  • AAT qualified, ACA part-qualified
