Moving Accountants – FAQ

If you are considering switching accountants, you may have various questions regarding the process, implications, and factors to consider. Here are some of the more common questions you may have:

The main one is that you are not happy! This could be you are unhappy with the price, the service or a combination of both.

The main reasons we find people switch to or get a quote from us are because of a lack of responsiveness from their current accountant, errors & inconsistencies in their work, limited proactivity and ineffective communication.

Recommendations are a great way to find a new accountant, however google can be your friend too! Look at their reviews online – you can see our google reviews here.

It shouldn’t cost you anything!

We’ll first get you a letter of engagement for you to review, sign and return to us – once that’s done we’ll start collating all the information we need from you to get you set up, if you’ve already got an accountant we’ll get in touch to ask for information from them (you’re welcome to give them a heads up you are leaving if you wish!). We’ll get set up with HMRC as your agent for all the relevant taxes and get you set up on our systems, show you how everything will work and get you started as a client.

We’d hope so, most accountants are helpful when it comes to clients leaving, any occasion there is problems we will handle them so you don’t have the stress!

It depends on your definition of the switch – from the moment you sign your letter of engagement you can start contacting us with any enquiries and questions you have, so really it’s an instant process!

You can get an improved service! We pride ourselves on being proactive and responsive – we aim to get back to client queries within one working day, if we can’t provide you with the answer in that time we’ll give you a timeframe at least.

We’ve lots of google reviews from our customers, take a look at those!

Yes, you’ll need to sign a letter of engagement with us, detailing all the services we’ll be providing to you.

By giving us any information we ask for then you’ve done all you can, as we said above most accountants will pass information across promptly too, minimising any disruption to you.

Get in touch if you’ve any other questions or would like to chat through getting a quote from us.
